The Flavor of Avondale Potluck

We are excited to announce that our theme for Literacy Week is Reading Around the World! In support of this year's Literacy Week theme and as we continue to celebrate the diverse cultures within our school community, we are thrilled to host a special event that will deliciously honour diversity. We are calling it The Flavor of Avondale: A Multicultural Community Potluck. 

Event Date

The potluck is Thursday, January 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. We invite all our students and their families to attend and bring a special dish to share.

Register Your Family

Please register your family by contacting the school by printing and sending the registration form with your child to school or emailing your child's classroom teacher by January 27, 2025. 

This celebration is not just about the food's an opportunity for us to come together, 
learn from one another, and appreciate the beauty of our differences. 

What to Bring

Whether you bring a dish from your own cultural background or prepare a favourite 
family recipe, your presence will make this event truly special.

Please bring a dish that will feed the number of people in your family. For example, if you are a family of five, your dish should be large enough to feed five people.
